How We're Keeping Mountside Residents Safe

Admission & Isolation Strategy – As we're sure you'll appreciate, for the safety of all concerned we want to take all possible steps to ensure new residents are Covid free. Your loved one will therefore need to be tested before admission to the home and the test result will need to be negative. In addition, it's crucial they remain apart from other residents for the first 14 days of their stay, which means remaining in their room.

Don't worry though, our (suitably protected) staff will be keeping them company and bringing them regular delicious home-cooked meals, snacks and drinks. We also have a video service so you'll be able to speak with them directly via Zoom or Skype and you can send them video messages from our website or Facebook page to them know you're thinking of them.

These will, of course, continue to be available to you once your loved one has settled in and joined our community.

Testing - We test staff weekly and residents once a month, as per guidelines. If residents become unwell then we test more frequently. We then email each family to notify them of any results.

Updates - We can now provide weekly updates, via email, since visiting is currently not permitted.
